It's official - I have my 200 hour training certificate from Yoga Alliance! 

 

I am now qualified to teach Max Strom's Breathe to Heal Inner Axis method to help people experiencing stress, anxiety, insomnia and to release grief.

 

With 1 in 4 of people in the UK experiencing these symptoms, including a growing number of young people, it has never been more important as a yoga teacher to offer support.

Breathe to Heal classes involve easy to learn breathing techniques developed by Max Strom - the internationally respected teacher, speaker and author - and simple yoga and qi gong poses that are accessible to everyone and anyone.

I'll be teaching Inner Axis at triyoga Camden on October 2018.

Breathe to Heal Training with Max Strom

While most people headed to the beach this summer, I spent four weeks on an additional 200 hour teacher training course with the internationally respected teacher, speaker and author Max Strom - and these lovely people at triyoga - the UK's leading yoga studio and school.

 

It was a great pleasure  to immerse myself in a month-long intensive that included an in-depth look at the Anatomy & Physiology behind yoga poses so that we can better support students with injuries or conditions.

 

Max Strom is an expert on Breathing and has spoken to the World Government Summit and led workshops around the world. He trained us how to offer students these breathing techniques to help release emotional stress, anxiety, unprocessed grief and depression which are physically stored in the body.

These teacher trainings bring people from all walks of life together and it was a pleasure to meet such  a lovely, humourous, supportive group of people from across Europe.

And of course, a month of being with Max Strom is always such a wonderful treat.

Yoga for Menopause Workshops launched across London

I'm delighted to announce that I have been invited by London's leading yoga studios to lead a series of Yoga for Menopause workshops. 

These specially designed two-hour workshops include yoga asana, breathing and mindful meditation techniques to help women in their 40s-50s to manage the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause.

I am the only yoga teacher who is a member of the British Menopause Society for health practitioners, so these workshops include the latest western medical and nutritional guidance as well as Ayurvedic wisdom from east.

Creating a sense of community and shared experience is an important part of these workshops, so they are only open to women who are experiencing perimenopause and menopause symptoms:stress and anxiety, insomnia and fatigue, irritability and mood swings, digestive problems and headaches.

They are not teacher training workshops. Due to the confidential nature of the information shared at these events by women, please only attend if you are going through the peri-menopause and post-menopause.

Retreat in Spain May 2018

Join me on a five day/ 4 night yoga and mediation retreat in Spain this May (2018).

You'll enjoy 2-3 yoga and meditation sessions a day ranging from dynamic yoga to restorative, and candle-lit yin yoga.

Our French hosts will provide delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals 3x a day.

Located in a luxury finca in the mountains above Alicante, Spain, this retreat venue includes an outdoor swimming, outdoor jacuzzi, sauna, sun loungers, surrounded by the peaceful mountain countryside which will be in spring bloom.

 

This retreat's theme is Swadhayyaya (self-study), so bring a journal to take notes, and expect to leave feeling healthy, fit, refreshed and ready for the world.

Yoga, Talks, Food, Films and Books
